1. Initial enquiries are to be made through an online Enquiry Form which can be forwarded to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. The form should contain the basic information about the project, the applicant, timescales and how it meets the criteria of WIDT.

2. After assessing the Enquiry Form and if your project appears to be eligible for funding, you will be invited to complete an application for. This does not indicate any guarantee of funding.

3. CNES Regeneration Team can assist potential applicants to understand the priorities of the Trust and can help with applications.

4. Where projects are ineligible, feedback will be provided and where appropriate, advice offered to redevelop the projector advise on other sources of funding.

5. The completed application will be presented to the Directors who will score them against set criteria. Applicants will be informed within six weeks of receipt of a completed application of the WIDT decision.

6. All approvals will be made available in the public domain, through our web site and press release.

7. Projects should acknowledge support from WIDT on any documentation or publicity material.

8. Successful applicants will be provided with a funding agreement and claims guidance. Project will be monitored from the start date given for the period of the work.

9. Claims must be made within two years of the project approval.

10. Funding can be paid out on receipt of original invoices; evidence will then be required to show payment from bank account.

12. Payment will be made by BACS system where possible. Payment by cheques will be avoided.

13. For works costing less than £1,000, two quotes are required. For works that cost less than £50,000, three quotes are required and for works that cost over £50,000 a tendering process is required.

14. The following are ineligible for funding:

    • Projects that do not benefit the WIDT area.
    • Organisations that do not have a constitution or formally recognised structure.
    • The advancement of politics or religion.
    • The repayment of loans or debts.
    • VAT that is recoverable by whatever means.
    • Costs already incurred or activities that will take place before a decision is made (retrospective funding).
    • Payments towards activities generally understood to be the exclusive responsibility of statutory authorities.
    • Activities that are contrary to the interests or objectives of WIDT
